The Out-of-Office (OOO) Resume feature uses AI to automatically manage your leads who are out of the office, pause communication until their return date, and resume sending when they're back, all without manual intervention.
The benefits of OOO Resume
Automatic detection: AI identifies out-of-office replies using natural language processing and pauses the lead until their specified return date.
Manual control: Once a lead is paused, you can view their status in the Unibox info popover. From there, you can adjust the return date or unpause the lead manually if needed.
No extra cost: This feature is included with your plan at no additional charge.
To view or edit a lead’s pause date, open the conversation in Unibox, click the Lead Info (ⓘ) icon, and locate the Pause Until field.
How to Enable OOO Resume
Step 1: Disable Stop on Auto-Reply in your campaign
To allow OOO Resume to pause the lead and automatically continue the sequence when they return, this option must be turned off.
Open your Campaign
Go to the Settings -> Advanced settings -> Sending rules
Scroll down to locate Stop Sending Emails on Auto-Reply
Turn off Stop on auto-reply
Step 2: Enable automatic tagging lead status in replies
OOO Resume relies on AI to detect out-of-office replies and apply the appropriate lead status. Enabling this setting allows Instantly to recognize these automatic responses and resume the campaign on the lead’s return date.
Go to Settings → Preferences
Under AI Automations, enable Automatically tag lead status in replies
