You can connect Instantly AI & Copilot to your Slack workspace to get help and start Instantly tasks directly from Slack.
Step 1: Connect Your Slack Workspace
Under Slack Channel, click 'Add connection' to connect your Slack workspace and select the channel where you want to use the Instantly Agent.
You can connect multiple Slack channels. If you select the wrong channel, click Disconnect to remove it.
Step 2: Check the Connection Status
Once connected, check the selected Slack channel to confirm the connection status.
Here’s what you should know about how it works:
Thread context: The agent reads the thread where you mention it to understand the conversation. It does not read other channels, messages outside that thread, or Slack attachments.
Reply visibility: The agent replies in the channel thread, and its responses are visible to everyone in that channel.
Individual account connection: Each person connects their own Instantly account using a matching Slack email.
Separate conversations and permissions: Multiple people can interact with the agent in the same thread. Although everyone shares the thread as background context, each person's Copilot conversation is separate, and the agent responds based on their own Instantly account permissions.
Step 3: Start Using Instantly Copilot
Mention @Instantly Copilot in the channel to ask questions or request help with Instantly tasks.
Make sure to mention it again in each follow-up message.
You can click 'Open in Copilot' to view the details, or easily approve or reject the actions. All conversations in Slack will sync in Instantly AI
