Instantly CRM makes it easy to call and text right from the platform. This guide will show you how to use these features and how to register for A2P 10DLC, which you'll need for sending SMS to US numbers.
Part 1: How to Register for A2P 10DLC
If you are not sending SMS to the US-based opportunities, you don't need to register for A2P 10DLC.
If you're sending texts to opportunities that are in the US, you need to register. Here's what to do:
Gather Your Info: Collect your EIN/business registration number/VAT, company name, address, and phone number.
Find the Form: Go to the Calls and SMS tab in Instantly CRM and open the A2P 10DLC Registration
Fill Out the Form: Enter all the needed details correctly to avoid any hold-ups or denials.
Submit and Wait: After submitting, your registration will need to be reviewed. This can take up to 7 business days. Keep an eye on your email for any updates or approval notice.
Tips:
Double-check your information, all the details you submit must be correct.
Use a valid EIN for US-based companies – not a DUNS number. If you're using EIN, please locate your CP 575 letter which is the official record of your EIN sent by the IRS. If you cannot locate this letter, you may request a replacement from the IRS (called a 147c letter).Enter your Legal Company Name exactly as registered with the IRS, If you’re registering a US entity
Use a Valid Tax ID for companies based outside of the U.S.
Tax ID or Business Registration Number and Type - for non-US companies.
Keep tabs on your registration status.
If there's a problem or your registration has failed right after submitting, contact support via chat.
Make sure that the data you submit is correct, EIN/business registration number/VAT are super important.
Once you fill out a form, you should see a message that the registration is in a pending review status:
It normally takes up to 7 business days to approve the registration, but check your email for any updates.
