By default, Instantly prioritizes follow-ups over new leads. The system sends all scheduled follow-ups first based on your campaign settings before sending Step 1 to new leads, as long as there's time remaining in the schedule and daily sending limits haven't been reached.
Enabling New Lead Prioritization
You can prioritize new leads if you're on the Hyper Growth or Light Speed outreach plan by following these steps:
Go to your campaign Options
Scroll down and click 'Show advanced options'
Check 'Prioritize new leads'
Click Save
Once enabled, the campaign will prioritize sending Step 1 to new leads before any follow-up steps.
Setting a Max New Leads Limit
You can use the "Max new leads" setting to control how many new leads the campaign contacts per day:
Set to a specific number (e.g., 10): The campaign contacts that many new leads first, then sends follow-ups with any remaining capacity.
Left blank: Treated as unlimited. The system sends to all available new leads and only sends follow-ups when no new leads remain.
Exceeds the campaign daily limit: The campaign will only send Step 1, and no follow-ups will go out.
Set to a negative value (e.g., -1): The campaign will not contact any new leads and will only send follow-ups.
