How to Upgrade/Downgrade Your Plan

Updated this week

Upgrade your plan

Upgrades take effect immediately. To upgrade:

  1. Go to the billing page

  2. Click the appropriate tab for the plan type you want to upgrade (Email Outreach, Instantly Credits, CRM, etc.)

  3. Select the plan you want to upgrade to

How you're charged depends on the plan type you're upgrading.

1. Prorated Billing: Email Outreach, CRM, Website Visitors, and Inbox Placement plans. When you upgrade these plans:

  • You'll only pay a prorated amount for the remaining days in your current billing cycle

  • The system calculates your unused plan time and deducts it from the higher-tier plan cost

  • Your original renewal date stays the same—no billing cycle reset (unless you're upgrading from monthly to yearly)

Example: If you subscribed to Growth on January 1st and upgrade to Hyper Growth on January 15th, you'd pay approximately $30 for the remaining 15 days (not the full $97). Then on February 1st, you'd pay the full $97 for your next Hyper Growth renewal.

2. Full Price without proration: Unlike other plan types, there's no proration for Instantly Credits upgrades. Here's what happens:

  • You're charged the full price of the higher-tier credits plan immediately

  • A new billing cycle starts right away, and your renewal date resets to the upgrade date

  • You receive the full credits allocation from your new credits plan

  • Any remaining credits from your previous plan are kept

Example: If you upgrade from Nano Credits to Growth Credits, you'll pay the full Growth Credits price ($47) and receive all 1,500 Growth Credits immediately, plus keep any unused Nano credits from your previous plan.

Troubleshooting Upgrade Issues

If you're unable to upgrade your plan, here are common issues and solutions:

1. Insufficient Funds: Your card doesn't have enough funds to cover the upgrade. Ensure your payment method has sufficient funds, then try upgrading again.

2. Payment Requires Authentication: Your payment requires additional verification (3D Secure authentication).

  • Go to the billing page

  • Navigate to Payment and Invoices > Manage

  • Attempt the upgrade again

  • When prompted, authenticate the payment by entering the verification code sent to your phone

Note: This solution won't work for purchasing add-ons. If you're unable to purchase add-ons, please contact support.

3. Overdue Invoice: You have an unpaid invoice that must be settled before making subscription changes.

  • Go to Billing and Usage > Payment and Invoices > Manage

  • Review all subscriptions and payment statuses (including DFY and pre-warmed account payments)

  • Click "Pay failed amount" or "Update payment method" to complete the payment

  • Once the invoice is cleared, try upgrading again

4. Card Declined: Your bank declined or blocked the payment.

  • Contact your bank to understand why the payment was declined

  • Try using a different payment method if available

Downgrade your plan

You can downgrade your plan from the billing page.

  • On the billing page, click the appropriate tab for the plan type you want to downgrade (Email Outreach, Instantly Credits, CRM, etc.)

  • Look for the "Downgrade" button next to the plan you want to move to

  • Confirm the downgrade

When your downgrade takes effect depends on the plan type.

1. Immediate Downgrade with Prorated Credits: Email Outreach plan, CRM plan, Website visitors plan, or inbox placement plan. When you downgrade these plans:

  • The downgrade takes effect immediately

  • Your unused time from the higher-tier plan is converted to prorated credits

  • These credits are added to your account balance and will automatically apply to future invoices

  • You won't be overcharged—the system ensures you only pay for what you use

Example: If you subscribed to Hyper Growth on January 1st and downgrade to Growth on January 15th(halfway through your billing cycle), the change takes effect immediately. The unused time from your Hyper Growth plan is converted to prorated credits and added to your account balance to cover future invoices.

2. Scheduled Downgrade: Instantly Credits

  • The downgrade takes effect at the end of your current billing cycle

  • You keep all the credits you already purchased from the higher-tier plan

  • You'll continue on your current plan until the cycle ends, then automatically move to the lower-tier plan

  • All unused credits remain available in your account

Example: If you subscribed to Growth Credits on January 1st and downgrade to Nano Credits on January 15th, you'll stay on the Growth Credits plan until your billing cycle ends on February 1st. On February 1st, you'll automatically move to the Nano Credits plan, and any unused Growth Credits will remain in your account.

Troubleshooting Downgrade Issue

If you're unable to downgrade, check for overdue invoices that need to be settled first:

  • Go to Billing and Usage > Payment and Invoices > Manage

  • Review all subscriptions and their payment status

  • Clear any unpaid or pending invoices before attempting to downgrade

Apply a Discount Code

If you have a discount code, you can apply it when upgrading your plan.

  • Go to Settings > Billing and Usage > Payment and Invoices > Manage

  • Click Update plan

  • Select the plan you want to upgrade to

  • Click Continue

  • On the confirmation page, enter your discount code in the Promotion code field

  • Complete your upgrade

Discount codes can only be applied when upgrading within the same plan type.

Example: If you're on the Growth plan (Email Outreach), you can apply a discount code when upgrading to Hyper Growth. To apply a discount code when purchasing a different plan type, please contact support for assistance.
