What is Waterfall enrichment?

Waterfall enrichment is a feature in SuperSearch. It means that SuperSearch doesn’t rely on just one data provider to find email addresses. It uses 5+ providers, one after the other, until it finds a verified result.

With the Waterfall enrichment, you get:

  • More contacts per search, even in hard-to-reach niches.

  • Higher verification rates, fewer bounces, better deliverability.


How Waterfall Enrichment Works in SuperSearch

Most lead tools stop at the first data source. If that provider doesn’t have the contact, you're out of luck. SuperSearch checks multiple sources in sequence. If:

  • Provider A doesn’t return a verified email →

  • Provider B takes over →

  • If needed, Provider C follows until a match is found.

This process continues until either:

  • A verified email is found, or

  • All options are exhausted (in which case no result is shown).

You can view the results from each provider in the list, and the final results will be displayed in the Work Email column.

Run Waterfall Enrichment in SuperSearch

The waterfall process runs automatically in the background when you click Find email in SuperSearch with one of the following options enabled:

  • Work email: Enrich the contacts by finding work emails using our default waterfall strategy.

  • Custom Flow: Enrich the contacts by finding work emails using your custom waterfall strategy, which allows you to plug in your existing FindyMail, LeadMagic, IcyPeas, and Prospeo accounts directly via API keys. You can reorder providers, switch steps on/off, and build your own waterfall sequence, giving you full control over cost, accuracy, and strategy.
