How to use variable for personalization

Updated over a week ago

Personalized lines can be a great way to improve reply rates by making each email feel individually written. You can create them manually or use an AI generator

Step 1: Prepare Your Lead List

  • Open your lead list in Google Sheets or Excel.

  • Add a column named "Personalization". This is where your personalized lines will be stored.

Step 2: Write Your Personalized Lines

  • Fill in the Personalization column for each lead.

  • You can write lines manually or use an AI generator, depending on your preference and time availability.

  • Consider testing a few different approaches to see what resonates best with your audience.

Step 3: Upload the Lead List

  • Upload your prepared list to your Instantly campaign.

  • During upload, map the personalization column using the "Personalization" option in the dropdown menu.

  • If you have multiple personalized columns, map the additional ones as "Custom variable"

Step 4: Insert the Variable into Your Email

  • In your email body, insert the {{Personalization}} variable (or your custom variable name) wherever you want the personalized line to appear.

  • Each email will automatically populate with the corresponding line from your lead list.

  • Preview or send a test email to confirm the variable is working correctly before launching your campaign.

Step 5: Preview Your Email

Click "Preview" to see the personalized lines for selected leads or sending accounts.
