Slack for Website Visitor Alerts

Updated over a week ago

In this guide, we'll walk you through setting up Slack notifications for the Website Visitors service to ensure that your team receives timely updates whenever a visitor interacts with your website.

Visitor tracking is currently only available for website traffic from the US.

Here are the steps to set up Slack notification for the Website Visitors service:

  1. Click on 'Add to Slack'

  2. Select a channel (or create a new one). You may have to type the name of your channel for the dropdown to work.

  3. Click on the 'Add Incoming WebHooks integration" button

  4. Copy the full Webhook URL on the next page

  5. Paste the Webhook URL from the previous step in this input field.

  6. Add Filters for visitors: Revenue, seniority level, department level, primary industry, and number of employees.

  7. You can also specify the exact URL the visitor was detected on, and the Referrer - who brought the visitor to this page. For example, if the visitor came from an Instagram ad, you will see Instagram as the referrer.
