How to launch a test with email accounts that are not connected to Instantly

The Outside Instantly test allows users to evaluate email deliverability for campaigns sent from external platforms or email providers.

You can monitor inbox placement and spam triggers across non-Instantly accounts, and get detailed insights into email performance regardless of the sending tool used.


How to Run a One-Time Test for Outside Accounts

1. Go to the "Inbox Placement" section in your Instantly dashboard.

2. Click the β€œ+ Add New” button to start a new test.

3. Test name: Enter a name for your test in the "Test Name" field (e.g., "Dec 9"). Click "Continue" to proceed.

4. Select Test Type: One-Time Test during the setup process.

5. Sending Method: Set Outside Instantly as the sending method

6. Choose Recipient Mailboxes. Pick the inboxes and spam filters you want to check (e.g., Gmail, Web.de, SpamAssassin).

7. Copy the provided unique code and insert it anywhere in your email.

  • Insert the code inside your email

  • Copy the provided recipients

  • Launch the Test.

  • Send your email campaign to the provided list of test email addresses.


Results & Insights

  • Deliverability Insights - Shows the percentage of emails delivered to the Inbox, Spam, and Promotions/Updates folders.

  • Spam Filter Score - The score should be as low as possible; any score above 5 means that your emails are landing in spam.

  • Content Insights - will let you know if your email content is considered risky

  • AI Recommendations - helps you improve the quality of your email copy. It evaluates key elements of your email and offers specific feedback for improvement.

  • Blacklist report - Monitors your IPs and domains against 94 blacklists

  • Email Placement - detailed information about deliverability per sending account.
