Our system analyzes bounce data in real-time to automatically skip any known high-risk recipients (based on the data from our logs and millions of emails sent) - thus protecting emails from getting bounced, reducing your bounce rate, and helping you protect your sender reputation.
Best practice: Verify leads before upload AND keep BounceShield enabled for maximum protection.
For the best deliverability and lowest possible bounce rate, always verify your leads before sending campaign emails. You can learn more about lead verification in our How to Verify Leads guide.
How to Manage BounceShield
Bounce shield is enabled by default for all campaigns. If you have a specific reason to disable BounceShield:
Open your campaign
Go to Options tab
Scroll to find 'Allow risky emails' setting
Tick 'Disable BounceProtect'
Save changes
Understanding "Skipped" Leads
When BounceShield skips a lead, you'll see leads with "Skipped" status in your campaign.
A lead can also be skipped for the following reasons:
Blocklist: Lead is on your workspace blocklist
Lead categorized as 'Unlikely to Reply'
Lead categorized as 'Hostile Prospects'
Company Send Limit: Reached maximum sends per company/domain
